A dance party to raise money for LGBTQ older adult housing and healthcare. Dance with DJ Vito Fun, free drinks, food and 25 amazing costume designers in a competition where you're the judge! Good fun for a good cause. (Guests are not expected to wear costumes, but certainly may!)

Somewhere Over the Costumes III - "Joy Us!" edition
250 supporters, including community leaders, local elected officials, donors, developers and real estate investors raise money for innovative LGBTQ senior housing and healthcare. We are honoring two people: legendary veteran community activist and Earth Mother DonnaSue Johnson,LCSW, and Steven Garibell, TD Bank Vice President who created and runs the bank's LGBTQ business development program.
You drink for free and eat hors d'oevres, passed by TD Bank employees in tutu aprons. You dance to DJ Vito Fun. 25 of the best costumers in NYC design and build costumes to the theme "What brings you joy?" Each guest gets 4 vote tickets and the costumers spend the dance party trying to woo those tickets from the guests to win the prize - a gift certificate for $67.14 at Abracadabra! (Guests are not expected to wear costumes, but certainly may!)
Board and Advisory Board members wear superhero capes and our elected official friends get red sashes. There is about 20 minutes of speechifying altogether and at the end there is a costume runway and the awarding of the grand prize - a $64.17 gift certificate at Abracadabra's, for which the costumers compete fiercely. Community Priced
A limited amount of Early Bird Tickets at a lower community price are available until they run out. We are pleased to provide these, which include drinks, hors d'oevres and dancing, but if you can pay more, we ask you to leave these tickets for our friends with lower incomes, especially seniors.
